Synopsis

Based on the 2013 novel by Stephen King and serving as a direct sequel to the 1980 horror film 'The Shining', Doctor Sleep follows Dan Torrance (Ewan McGregor) as an adult still traumatized by the events of his past and coping with alcoholism. Things take a drastic turn when he meets Abra, a teenager who shares his psychic powers and has sought him out to fight against a sinister cult lead by Rose the Hat (Rebecca Ferguson). Together, Dan and Abra must overcome their fears and engage in a battle for saving many innocent lives.
