An Indian actor, he was born and brought up in Mumbai. He began his career as an assistant director on the sets of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Aks (2001). His debut as an actor happened with the M.F. Hussain directorial Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities (2005). It was Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2006 blockbuster Rang De Basanti which brought him into the limelight. He was even nominated for Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his spectacular performance.
