Directed by Suvahhdan Angre, Billu Ustaad is India’s first film on child terrorism. Based on the works of Bhanupratap Barge, Head of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, Pune, the film highlights the disturbing trend of extremist organisations recruiting minors from orphanages in their terror plots across the world. It tells the tale of a cheerful little boy, Billu, whose life turns upside down when his friends are kidnapped and brainwashed by terrorists.
