Who provides the UPI ID

The UPI ID, also known as the Virtual Payment Address (VPA), is provided by the banks that support UPI transactions, in conjunction with the payment application you use (such as Paytm) to link your bank account. When you set up UPI on an app, it generates a unique ID (e.g., yourname@bankname) that identifies you on the UPI system for instant money transfers.
