Who is responsible for the UPI failed transaction?

Banks have a clear responsibility to resolve failed UPI transactions, according to RBI and NPCI guidelines. If an account is debited but the beneficiary is not credited, the beneficiary bank is generally responsible for the auto-reversal of funds. For fund transfers, the reversal should happen within T+1 day. If delayed, the bank is liable to pay compensation of ₹100 per day.
