Which bank launched UPI?

The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) was designed and launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in 2016. It facilitates instant money movement between bank accounts, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulates this system, which is widely used for both business-to-business and person-to-person payments.
