UPI

What is the threshold limit for UPI?

The general threshold limit for UPI transactions is ₹1,00,000 per day for standard payments, as per NPCI regulations. This limit applies to both person-to-person and person-to-merchant transfers. However, higher limits are available for specific categories. For transactions related to capital markets, insurance, and foreign inward remittances, the limit is ₹2,00,000. IPO applications and RBI retail direct schemes have a higher limit of ₹5,00,000. Individual banks or payment applications may also have their own per-transaction limits.
