What is required to use UPI for transactions?

To use UPI for transactions, you must have an Indian bank account (savings or current) with a UPI-enabled bank and the same mobile number registered with that bank. The mobile number must be on the phone during registration for verification. Additionally, the bank account must be KYC compliant, meaning you have provided valid ID proof. Once linked, you create a virtual address for payments.
