What is a UPI app?

A UPI app is a mobile application that uses the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system to facilitate instant, real-time fund transfers between bank accounts. Regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and developed by the NPCI, these apps allow users to:
