What if someone knows your UPI ID?

It is generally safe for someone to know your UPI ID, as it is similar to sharing bank details for receiving money. Scammers cannot directly withdraw funds with just the ID. However, the risk involves fraudsters using your ID to send fake "Collect Requests." They may try to trick you into entering your UPI PIN to "receive" funds, which actually results in you sending money to them. Never share your UPI PIN or OTP.
