Yes, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has expanded globally and is accepted in several countries outside India for cross-border transactions. This expansion is led by NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL). Countries where UPI is accepted include France, Singapore, UAE, Bhutan, Nepal, and Mauritius. Indian travelers can make QR-code-based payments at international merchant locations after enabling the UPI Global feature in their payment application.
