Is creating an UPI ID free?

Creating a UPI ID is absolutely free for all users. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) designed the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to encourage digital payment adoption by eliminating setup fees. You will not incur any charges regardless of which UPI app you choose or how many UPI IDs you create. Linking your bank account is also free.
