It is not possible to stop or cancel a successful UPI transaction once you have entered your UPI PIN, as funds are transferred instantly. If you have made a wrong payment, follow these steps:
- Report the issue immediately through the help or dispute section of your UPI app.
- Contact your bank's customer support with the transaction ID and UTR number to request a reversal.
- If unresolved, lodge a formal complaint on the NPCI website under the Dispute Redressal Mechanism.
- Escalate to the RBI Banking Ombudsman if the issue persists after 30 days.
