To get a UPI account, you must first download a UPI-enabled application on your smartphone. Next, register on the app using the mobile number that is linked to your bank account and verify it through a one-time password (OTP) or SMS. You will then select and link your bank account from the available list. If this is your first time linking, you will be prompted to set a secure UPI PIN using your debit card details. Once the PIN is successfully set, your UPI ID is generated, and your account is ready to make and receive digital payments.
