How to generate a UPI ID in the BHIM app?

To generate a UPI ID in the BHIM app, follow these steps:

• Download and install the BHIM app, select your preferred language, and verify your mobile number linked to your bank account.
• Set a 4-digit application passcode to secure the app.
• Select your bank and link your bank account.
• Upon successful registration, a default UPI ID in the format mobilenumber@upi is automatically created.
• Set your UPI PIN using the last 6 digits and expiry date of your debit card to authenticate transactions.
