How does a UPI payment gateway work

When a customer selects UPI as a payment option, the gateway generates a payment request linked to the merchant's virtual address. The customer approves it in their UPI app, and the transaction is processed through NPCI. Paytm's payment gateway ensures encryption and fast confirmation.
