UPI providers earn revenue mainly through commission income from partnerships with merchants and service providers. This includes commissions for bill payments, DTH activations, and mobile recharges completed through the app. Additionally, they can earn through government incentives for certain transactions, such as the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on payments made via RuPay Credit Card on UPI.
