How do I refund a UPI transaction?

If a UPI transaction fails but the amount is debited, the refund process usually triggers automatically. The NPCI and the associated bank reverse the amount, often within 2–3 working days or 24–48 hours for failed transactions. For wrong transactions, you can file a complaint immediately using the NPCI toll-free number 1800-120-1740. You can also contact your bank or UPI app support, such as Paytm's support.
