How can I activate UPI without SMS?

UPI generally requires SMS verification for activation, as it relies on an active SIM card linked to your bank account for authentication. During the setup process, UPI apps send a verification SMS to confirm your mobile number with the bank. This is necessary for registering, receiving OTPs for secure transactions, and linking bank accounts. If you are using the Paytm App, you can sometimes use Aadhaar verification to set your UPI PIN instead of debit card verification, but mobile number verification (which may involve SMS) is still required to activate UPI.
