Does Russia have UPI?

Russia has shown interest in adopting India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI). In 2023, an agreement was signed to accept UPI and RuPay payments. While Russia embraced the system to facilitate quick transactions, the implementation is not yet widespread. As of May 2025, UPI is not broadly accepted across the country, though ongoing discussions related to Russia's Fast Payments System (FPS) continue.
