Yes, you can often choose or manage your UPI ID. During the setup process on a payments application, you are typically given an option to create a preferred UPI handle, which can be linked to your bank account. For example, on the Paytm application, you can go to 'UPI & Payment Settings' to view, change, or select a new primary UPI ID from available handles.
