Can UPI be used without a debit card?

Yes, you can use UPI without a debit card by using Aadhaar-based verification. This feature, introduced by the NPCI, allows you to set up your UPI PIN using your Aadhaar number instead of a physical card. To use this service:

• Ensure your bank supports Aadhaar-based UPI onboarding.
• The mobile number registered with your bank and Aadhaar must be the same.
• Select the Aadhaar option during setup and enter the first six digits of your Aadhaar number.
• Validate the process using the OTPs sent to your registered mobile number to create your PIN.
