Can NPCI freeze account?

NPCI, through the terms and conditions for BHIM UPI, reserves the right to suspend or terminate any User Account or UPI ID issued for the App at its sole discretion. While NPCI governs the UPI ecosystem, the direct authority to freeze a linked bank account generally lies with the respective bank or competent legal authorities for reasons like legal compliance or security concerns.
