Is biometric authentication replacing UPI PIN?

Biometric authentication like fingerprint or face recognition is being introduced in some UPI apps as an additional layer of security. However, it is not fully replacing the UPI PIN — the PIN remains the primary method of authorization. Biometric methods are mainly used for convenience, but the UPI PIN is still mandatory in most cases.
