Static QR codes last indefinitely as long as the code remains intact and scannable. Dynamic QR codes can last indefinitely as well, but their functionality depends on the server or platform hosting the linked data and the service provider's subscription or policies. If the linked information is removed or the subscription ends, a dynamic QR code will essentially stop working.
