What is age for pan card

There is no minimum or maximum age limit for obtaining a PAN card in India. According to the Income Tax Department, even newborns and minors are eligible to apply. For individuals under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must apply on their behalf as a representative assessee. Although a minor's PAN card does not contain a photograph or signature, it remains valid for financial purposes. Once the individual turns 18, they must update the card with their current photograph and signature to transition to major status.
