How to know pan card

You can check your Permanent Account Number (PAN) details and application status using official government portals.

• To verify if your existing PAN is active and to check its details, visit the Income Tax e-filing website, navigate to 'Verify Your PAN', and enter your PAN, name, date of birth, and mobile number for OTP verification.
• To track the status of a new PAN application, use your 15-digit acknowledgement number on the official tracking portal of the service provider (Protean/NSDL or UTIITSL) where you submitted your application.
• Alternatively, you can use the SMS service by sending NSDLPAN \<15-digit acknowledgement number\> to 57575.
