You can get the soft copy, or e-PAN, directly from the portal of the service provider through which you applied (NSDL or UTIITSL). Visit the respective portal's 'Download e-PAN' section and use your acknowledgement number or PAN details and Date of Birth to download the PDF. If you applied for an instant e-PAN through the Income Tax e-filing portal, you can also download the soft copy from that site.
