To get a HUF PAN card, the Karta (head of the family) must apply online through the official NSDL (Protean) or UTIITSL websites using Form 49A.

• Select the 'New PAN' application type and choose 'Hindu Undivided Family' as the applicant category.
• Complete the online form with the HUF's details, including the date of formation, and pay the application fee (currently around ₹107).
• Print the acknowledgement form and attach the required supporting documents. This includes an affidavit from the Karta listing all coparceners, along with the Karta's identity, address, and date of birth proof.
• Courier the signed application and documents to the designated PAN application centre for processing and verification.

The PAN card is processed and dispatched after the physical documents are successfully verified.
