how to check my pan card status
You can check your PAN card application status online using your 15-digit acknowledgement number on the official Protean (formerly NSDL) or UTIITSL websites.
- Visit the Protean or UTIITSL portal and select the 'PAN - New/Change Request' application type.
- Enter your 15-digit acknowledgement number and the captcha code to view the status.
- Alternatively, you can check the status via SMS by sending 'NSDLPAN <15-digit acknowledgement number>' to 57575 or by calling the TIN call center at 020-27218080.
- To verify if your existing PAN is active or inactive, visit the Income Tax e-filing portal and use the 'Verify Your PAN' service.
