An income tax refund is typically processed within 20 to 45 days after the taxpayer successfully e-verifies their Income Tax Return. Due to advanced processing, many taxpayers now receive refunds within 10 to 15 days. The arrival depends on several factors:

• Correctness of the pre-validated bank account for direct credit.
• Completion of processing by the Centralized Processing Centre.
