Drivers Licence

Can I apply for a driving licence in other districts?

Yes, you can apply for a driving licence in a district other than your permanent address, provided you have valid local address proof for that location. While the application is processed through the Sarathi Parivahan portal, you must select the RTO corresponding to your current residence. Acceptable documents for address proof typically include a rent agreement, utility bills, or a letter from your employer or educational institution. Note that the permanent licence is generally issued by the same RTO that granted your learner's licence.
