What to write in pay in cheque

In the "Pay" or "Pay to the order of" line of a cheque, you must write the full, official name of the person or organization you intend to pay. For Indian users, follow these key tips:

• Write the name exactly as it appears in the recipient's bank records to avoid rejection.
• If you are withdrawing cash for yourself, write "Self" in this field.
• Start writing from the extreme left of the line to prevent unauthorized additions.
• Draw a line through any remaining blank space after the name for added security.
