What is bank passbook number

A bank passbook number is the unique identification number assigned to a customer's bank account, prominently printed on the front page of the physical passbook. In addition to the account number, a passbook typically contains:

  • Bank branch name and address
  • IFSC (Indian Financial System Code)
  • Customer ID or CIF number
