How to fill a cheque for self

To fill a cheque for a self-withdrawal or transfer in India, follow these steps:

• Write the current date in the DD/MM/YYYY format in the top-right corner.
• In the Pay line, write Self or your full name as it appears in bank records.
• Enter the withdrawal amount in numerals in the box provided, using the ₹ symbol.
• Write the same amount in words on the line below the payee name, ending with the word Only.
• Sign the cheque at the bottom-right corner using your registered bank signature.
