To activate an inactive or dormant bank account, you must visit your bank branch and submit a formal reactivation request along with fresh KYC documents, such as your Aadhaar card and PAN card. The process generally includes:
- Submitting a signed application form for account reactivation.
- Providing self-attested copies of identity and address proof.
- Performing a customer-induced financial transaction, such as a deposit or withdrawal, to complete the process.
Banks do not charge fees for reactivating inoperative accounts. Some banks may also offer reactivation through Video KYC or mobile banking apps.
