Can I reactivate my closed bank account?

Generally, a formally closed bank account cannot be reactivated. If you or the bank closed the account, you must open a new one by submitting fresh KYC documents like your Aadhaar and PAN card. However, if the account is merely inoperative or dormant due to inactivity for over two years, you can reactivate it. To do this, visit your branch, submit a written request with updated KYC proofs, and perform a small deposit or withdrawal transaction.
