Synopsis

The Kerala story is a compilation of true stories of four young girls from different parts of Kerala. Shalini, Geetanjali, Nimah and Asifa. They meet at their hostel room on the first day, at the Nursing College in Kasaragod, the northern most district of Kerala. Asifa is an active sleeper cell member of ISIS in Kerala. On her vicious deceits and minacious intrigue, Shalini and Geetanjali converted in to Islam, disowning their families, terming them as kafirs. They are uprooted from all their social ties. Cautious Nimah understood the impending danger hovering around them. She constantly alarmed Shalini and Geetanjali. But, their blind conviction and trust on Asifa and love-life with Ramiz and Abdul put their life on the edge. In her worst reality, Shalini is detected pregnant. In spite of accepting the fatherhood of the child, Ramiz disappeared leaving Shalini in the tenterhook. Cleric in the Islamic Centre, who masterminded their conversion, showed a mirror to Shalini. She cannot go back to home or college. Neither can she abort the child. Her education is over – actually her dream is over and she is thrown into the virtual dungeon of the ISIS laid trap of death. She will now travel to Syria to join ISIS and fight for the Caliphate. Geetanjali, another victim of Asifa, got severely addicted to ‘Jihadi drug’ Captagon and Amphetamine. Nevertheless, she somehow manages her escape from the grip of Abdul, an aide of Asifa to realise the huge ruse laid before them. But her realisation cut short. She is compelled to end her life, as her nude photos go viral. Meanwhile, Nimah fought a lonely battle against the evil terror cartel. But paid price – she was brutally raped by many men before she turn in to a whistle-blower. Shalini has to accept a staged marriage with Ishak, a member of ISIS terror network in Kerala. Terror machine arrange everything for Shalini, now Fatima and Ishak for their travel. They reach Quetta via Colombo and then set out for an arduous journey through Pir-Panjal mountain roads to reach Raqqa, Syria – their dream destination. They reach to a hideout of ISIS, Shabad, at the outskirts of Afghan- Iran border city Herat. In the hideout, repeated rape and paranoid behaviour of Ishak Shalini realised how big mistake she committed. She tries to escape but only to realise, she left her freedom thousands of miles back. Only death can free her. But, she wants to live and go back to her mother for her new- born daughter. To add more difficulties, she gets the news of Ishak’s death. All alone in the middle of the desert – she is picked up forcibly by a group of militants. Now she is heading to Syria. There she will be a sex slave or a human bomb.Even after all these, her courage does not leave her – she decides to free herself or embrace death, rather than giving up to the plot of ISIS which was hatched in her home land, Kerala. Can she make herself free? Can she meet her grieving mother?
