Synopsis

Inspired by the exodus of Kashmiri pandits which occured in 1990, it tells the story of a Hindu couple who were forced to flee from the Kashmir valley by the insurgents. Depicting the journey of the couple as well as India over the course of 30 years, the movie marks the return of Vidhu Vinod Chopra to direction after a gap of 13 years.
