Synopsis

Based on thought-provoking true events, the story revolves around Bryan Stevenson (Jordan), a young advocate who upon graduating from Harvard heads to Alabama to defend Walter McMillan, wrongly accused and sentenced to death for the notorious murder of an 18-year-old girl. Over the years while fighting for justice, Bryan get entangled in a web of legal and political maneuverings as well as unabashed racism with the odds stacked against him.
