Synopsis

Continuing the story line from the acclaimed TV series of the same name, it follows the lives of the Crawley family, wealthy owners of a large estate in the English countryside. Set in 1927, the plot revolves around a visit by the King and Queen with their own chefs and attendants to the Downtown Abbey. With the family and servants pitted against the royal entourage and an assassin in pursuit of killing the monarch, the movie promises to be an epic period drama.
