Parthappa, an educated man who turns to farming in a remote village due to certain pressures, faces a dilemma when a leopard attacks one of the bullocks. Madappa insists that Parthappa shoot and kill the leopard, using his father's inherited licensed gun. However, Parthappa is reluctant to kill the leopard and tries to convince the villagers otherwise. As pressure mounts to eliminate the threat, Parthappa explores other ways to protect the leopard.
