Rebecca Marie Hall was born on 3 May 1982 in London, England. Her father is Peter Hall, a legendary British stage director, who founded the Royal Shakespeare Company, and her mother is the American opera singer Maria Ewing. The two split when Rebecca Hall was extremely young, and finalized their divorce in 1990. Hall has two half-brothers and three half-sisters, all of whom, like her, are working in the entertainment industry.
