An Indian actor, she is highly regarded for her acting prowess and dancing skills. She made her debut with Abodh in 1984. After an initial bumpy start in the film industry, she attained recognition and major success with 1988 romantic thriller Tezaab. Not just her acting, but her dancing skills were highly appreciated. To the extent that one of the songs Ek Do Teen became an all-time iconic song. From thereon, there was no looking back for the Padma Shri awardee.
