On Dec 31, 2019 come to The Farm. It's a winter night at The Farm, starlit sky under a trellis of vines and fairylights. Enjoy the warmth of a bon-fire along with storytelling, live music, jamming, games, food and loads of fun n frolic.The Open Village Festival, is the idea of spending a quality time with fun & frolic and connect with people & nature. You can be of any cast, gender, religion or you are a part of LGTB community, one and all are welcome.There will be curated performances. She is the founder of the Gig House where she curates niche experiences & parties. You will be a part of community drumming, facilitated by Vartika Gupta, & it's beats will trans & awaken you. Mariam, will engage you with activities, Shubham will make you laugh and Shivam will sing and make you sing along. Last, but a beginning, you will be a part of community drumming and Vartika, will facilitate the it at the new year eve, marking the transition from one year to another.Along with it, the space is open for everyone to indulge others with their talent. Anyone can recite their poetry, crack jokes or start playing music and make everyone sing & tap along. You can also bring your own musical instruments. There's also going to be games and for dinner there will be a basic, simple, authentic taste farm food.The Open Village Festival is on December 31, 2019, 8 pm onwards. You have an option to stay overnight or to leave after the performances & food. In case you choose to stay, there are accommodation in cottage and tent. There are 4 huts and 4 tents (both on twin sharing basis). Or you can bring-in your own tent to stay overnight (mattress, pillow, blanket will be provided). In overnight stay, next day you will be provided with breakfast and a guided tour for The Farm. Whichever option, suits you better, buy the ticket accordingly.The Farm is run by conservation biologist, Pooja Bhale since 2010 as a project undertaken by the Protecterra Ecological Foundation. The Farm aims at creating a natural habitat for man, flora and fauna. It's all about going back to the basics to build a harmonious sustainable ecosystem for all living forms. It is home for more than 1,600 trees, exotic flora, undisturbed fauna, 9 dogs, 26 cats, 3 goats and for Pooja & her team. It's bare minimum, quiet and sublime. And, that's perhaps the best thing about the place! The huts and most of the things in The Farm are made / constructed out of natural and recycled material. The huts have doors but no locks. Washrooms are common and both English & Indian style toilets are there.Any pets staying in The Farm will not be lashed as its a home for them....read more
