Paytm Partners with Maha Metro and ONDC to Bring Seamless Mobile QR Metro Ticketing for Pune and Nagpur Commuters

We have partnered with Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to launch Mobile QR metro ticketing on Paytm across Pune and Nagpur, making metro travel faster and seamless for daily commuters.

With this integration, users can now book metro tickets directly on the Paytm app through the ONDC integration, receive a QR-code for entry, and travel without the need for physical tokens. This reduces wait times and queues at metro stations, offering a smoother and more convenient commuting experience.

This builds on our continued efforts to digitise public transport and simplify metro travel across Indian cities, enabling users to move seamlessly from booking to boarding.

“This partnership is a meaningful step toward simplifying everyday travel for metro commuters in Pune and Nagpur. With Mobile QR Ticketing, users can access their tickets instantly on the Paytm app, making the entire journey, from booking to entry, faster and more convenient,” said Paytm spokesperson.

Our mobile QR ticketing solution will enable efficient and hassle-free movement for over 3 lakh daily commuters across Pune and Nagpur.

“This would facilitate easy selection of Metro journeys for the citizens, as it would provide a common platform while commuting. Maha Metro and Paytm would mutually benefit through this engagement,” said Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director, Maha Metro
