Our CSR arm Paytm Foundation recently organized a joyful and engaging employee volunteering activity with the children of Uday Foundation in Delhi, reaffirming our commitment to community welfare and meaningful social impact. The initiative aimed to create a memorable experience for the children while encouraging Paytmers to actively contribute to child-centric causes.
The session began with a warm and friendly introduction, as volunteering Paytmers interacted with the children to help them feel comfortable and welcomed. This initial interaction quickly set a positive tone for the day, with children enthusiastically sharing their names, hobbies, and little stories, instantly building a bond with the volunteers.
To energize the atmosphere, the group kicked off with the ever-popular “Passing the Parcel” game. Laughter echoed through the room as each child eagerly waited for their turn, while fun tasks added excitement and kept everyone thoroughly entertained. The volunteers actively joined in, making the experience inclusive and lively.
The highlight of the day was the art and craft session. Armed with colourful craft materials, the children were guided by volunteers to create drawings, paper crafts, and imaginative artwork. From vibrant nature scenes to creative decorative pieces, the children showcased remarkable creativity and self-expression. The volunteers cherished the opportunity to sit with them, offer guidance, and admire their wonderful creations.
Towards the end of the session, volunteers distributed toys, refreshments, chocolates, and other goodies to the children. Their radiant smiles and excitement made the moment truly special. The children left not just with gifts, but with a sense of joy, connection, and confidence.
This volunteering activity was a heartfelt reminder that small gestures can create lasting happiness. It also reinforced Paytm Foundation’s continued efforts to promote community engagement, drive positive social change, and inspire employees to contribute meaningfully toward child welfare initiatives.
